Steven Perlman DDS, MScD, DHL is Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry, Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine; past president Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities, Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry; Fellow, Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities, The American College of Dentists and a Diplomat of the American Board of Special Care Dentistry. Dr. Perlman is also co-founder of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD).

He will be speaking on: the issues/barriers in access to dental care for children and adults with disabilities or with special needs; what we are doing to address the issue to care and educate dental professionals about the oral health problems of patients with special needs; and discuss issues relating to health disparities that exist for this most medically/dentally underserved population to change provider attitudes.
