Dental environment and procedures can make a visit to the dentist an unpleasant and challenging experience for children when they are unfamiliar. This can often times act as a barrier to care.Luckily, UPD has an Occupational Therapist on staff that works with various agencies and the University at Buffalo to provide care and comfort to our patients.The American Academy of Pediatric Dentists recommends using previsit imagery as a basic behavior guidance technique to support patients before their visit to the dentist.See below for some great educational videos made just for our kids:
